Role Overview
We’re expanding and we’re looking for a clinical operations professioal who thrives on connection, collaboration, and results. As Director of Business Development, you’ll play a dual role: helping Clin Ops Solutions grow our client partnerships while also recruiting the clinical operations talent that drives biopharma success.
You’ll recive direct mentorship from our CEO, learning the business development and recruiting strategies that have helped Clin Ops Solutions become a trusted partner in the biopharma industry. This is a hands-on position where you’ll make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Use your existing biopharma relationships to identify and connect new clients.
- Build and nurture partnerships with executives and hiring leaders.
- Match exceptional talent with innovative biopharma companies.
- Monitor biotech industry trends, funding activity, and pipeline developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent Clin Ops Solutions at industry conferences, webinars, networking events, and business development meetings to expand visibility and client relationships.
- Own the full-cycle recruitment process for clinical operations and related roles, from sourcing to offer negotiation.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Collaborate with client hiring managers to understand job requirements and design tailored recruiting strategies.
- Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, and evaluations to ensure technical and cultural fit.
- Act as the primary point of contact for both clients and candidates, ensuring smooth communication and successful placements.
- Organize and coordinate interviews between candidates and clients, ensuring a professional and seamless experience.
- Support internal initiatives, including process improvements, marketing activities, and thought leadership efforts.
- Partner with leadership to identify and execute strategic growth opportunities for Clin Ops Solutions.
- Perform other activities as needed to support the success and operational needs of Clin Ops Solutions.
Qualifications
- Must be based on the East Coast of the United States to align with client needs and time zone requirements.

12–15 years in biopharma sponsor environments with a strong background in clinical operations.
- A trusted professional network and enthusiasm for business growth.
- Eagerness to learn recruitment and business development under CEO mentorship.
- Deep understanding of biotech business models, clinical development processes, and operational challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new client partnerships while successfully recruiting and placing candidates in specialized roles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with credibility in the biotech sector.
